Interview with Inga Hlín Pálsdóttir

We reached out to Inga Hlín Pálsdóttir, former Director of Visit Iceland, to talk about crisis management and crisis communications in tourism destination marketing.     

We discussed questions such as: what can a destination marketing organisation do to deal with this very difficult crisis? What will the future of travel look like, post-coronavirus crisis?  

Inga was Director of Visit Iceland for 10 years and handled several crises in that capacity – for example when a volcanic eruption in 2010 caused enormous disruption to air travel across Europe, an event that gave birth to the highly successful Inspired by Iceland campaign.
